I am thrilled to be a part of a vqb ( virtual quilting bee) now. The world has changed a lot in the past few years and quilters are keeping up. The old school way of a group of women who loved to quilt to socialize would be a quilting bee. They'd get together and make quilts but I think the creating a bond between friends was just as close as the threads they were sewing. Fast forward to 2011 and we still get together to socialize but now, the space between us is different. Instead of being in the same town.....we aren't even in the same time zone. And while I haven't had the honor yet, continents can't keep us apart.

Who knew thread could stretch that far and be so strong?
